Shipping your fine garments and household textiles, handbags and shoes to us is so easy. Here's the details ...

Turnaround

Our typical turnaround time is as follows:

Garments: 5 working days

Bridal and other ceremonial gowns and garments: 4-8 weeks

Fine bed and table linens: 5 working days

Household textiles: 5 working days

Bed pillows: 2 working days

Designer purses, handbags, wallets, backpacks and shoes: 3-4 weeks

Heavily soiled or stained items require a slightly longer processing time-frame.

Even though time is critical to achieving optimum results, situations may arise where you need your items back in a shorter time-frame. Please ask about our Expedited Service.

Minimum Service Order

There is no minimum service order.

Shipping Container Charges

We add a shipping container charge to each order. The shipping container charge will vary according to the size, number and type of items being shipped. Some orders may require more than one shipping container.

As a guide, we use the following shipping containers:

Packing Charges

We do not add a packing charge to any order.

Here are some details relating to our packing ...

  • All garments are double bagged (two extra wide poly bags on each garment), stuffed with acid-free tissue, and carefully packed in one of our flat or upright shipping boxes to minimize movement during shipping.
  • All laundered shirts processed by our Jermyn Street Shirtcare division are always hand-folded and are individually inserted into a heavy gauge poly bag with a "built in cushion of air" to protect the pressing during shipping.
  • All bed pillows processed by our White Knight Pillowcare division are individually packed in heavy gauge poly bags.
  • All bridal gowns and other ceremonial gowns and garments processed by our Museum Quality Gowncare division that are individually packed in their own archival preservation chest, are, in turn, placed in a slightly larger outer shipping box.

Carrier Shipping Charges

At RAVE FabriCARE, we normally ship via UPS. On occasion, we ship via FedEx. If a client wishes to use their own personal or business FedEx account  or UPSO (where the UPS cost is very high relative to the USPO cost such as Hawaii or Puerto Rico).

Shipping charges from these carriers are charged at our actual cost.

If you prefer an alternative carrier to UPS (e.g. FedEx or USPO) and/or an alternative method (e.g. 2 or 3 day air), please provide us with the details when you complete your Service Order Form (see Procedure Section below).

Many of our Nationwide Clean By Mail clients have their own personal or business shipping account. If you would like us to use your UPS or FedEx personal or business account, please provide us with the details when you complete your Service Order Form (see Procedure Section below). In this case, there would be no shipping charges added to your total charges.

A special note for Canadian residents who wish to use their own personal or business FedEx account and who ask us to ship via Ground Service: Due to the relative absence of an efficient FedEx infrastructure for handling personal effects shipped by Ground Service to Canada, we will NOT ship Ground to Canada, using either our own FedEx account or your personal or business FedEx account. ALL parcels shipped Ground to Canada must ship UPS, using either our UPS account or your personal or business UPS account.

Insurance

All shipments are insured for $100 per shipping container.

Additional insurance is available upon request at a cost of $0.50 per $100 of value.

Once a shipping container has been accepted by the carrier, RAVE FabriCARE cannot be held responsible for the loss of that shipping container in transit or after delivery to you by the carrier. In the event a shipping container is lost in transit, RAVE FabriCARE will provide you with the shipping details necessary to facilitate the filing by you of a claim with the carrier.

Total Charges

Our nationwide clean by mail service prices are identical to the prices you would pay if you were a local in-store client or a local pickup and delivery client.

Unlike ordinary cleaners, we do not add a 3% to 6% environmental surcharge to any service order

There is no sales tax on dry cleaning and related services in Arizona.

Accordingly, your total service order charge will comprise the following:

  • Service charges
  • Shipping container charges
  • Carrier shipping charge
  • Insurance charge, if any.

The service charge for each item in your order will be individually itemized on one or more invoices. The shipping container charge, Carrier shipping charge and insurance charge (if any), will appear on a separate invoice.

Methods of Payment

We accept American Express, Discover, Visa and Mastercard.

We regret but we are unable to accept COD service orders.

Canadian Residents

We ship throughout the USA and Canada.

The procedure to be followed is identical to that followed by USA residents with one exception: If you are required to attach any type of Commercial Invoice or Customs Declaration to your shipping box, you can avoid delays in transit by describing the contents of your box as "USED PERSONAL CLOTHING FOR CLEANING/NO COMMERCIAL OR RESALE VALUE" with a value of ZERO.

Other International Residents

At this time, we only ship to Canada.

We regret that, we are not able to return service orders to non-Canadian addresses, but we hope to be able to do so in the near future.

However, if you're an international client with a service address (business or residential) in the United States or Canada, we can still help. You can ship your fine garments, household textiles, designer purses, handbags, wallets, backpacks and shoes to us from outside the United States (using a carrier of your choice) with a request that we ship the completed order to your designated address in the United States or Canada.

The procedure to be followed is identical to that followed by USA residents with one exception: If you are required to attach any type of Commercial Invoice or Customs Declaration to your shipping box, you can avoid delays in transit by describing the contents of your box as "USED PERSONAL CLOTHING FOR CLEANING/NO COMMERCIAL OR RESALE VALUE" with a value of ZERO.

APO Addresses

Please note that we no longer ship to APOs. While shipping our garment boxes to an APO using the services of the USPO should be no different than shipping those same boxes to Hawaii or Puerto Rico, there is one difference: the handling of the garment boxes after delivery by the USPO to the APO. The net result is damaged or crushed boxes being delivered to the client at the final destination.

Procedure

Using our nationwide clean by mail service is so easy. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Print and Complete

Print and complete the Service Order Form and the Inventory  of Items Sent Form.

If you wish to provide us with a detailed inventory of the items you're sending in, complete the Inventory of Items Sent Form that's attached to the Service Order Form.

Completing the Inventory of Items Sent Form is optional. However, in the event no form is enclosed with your order, our descriptions and final counts must be accepted as definitive.

2. Print and Complete

Print and complete the Personal Preference Profile.

These forms tell us your likes and dislikes. For example, how you like the feel of your cottons and linens. How you want us to hang your slacks, trousers and jeans. What your shirt laundry starch preference might be. How you want us to pack your fine bed and table linens. Etc.

You only have to complete this form once. Once we have entered your personal preferences in our RAVEtrac Computer System, you don't have to submit the form when you use this service on subsequent occasiosns. You should resubmit the form only if there has been a change in any of the base information you originally provided.

3. Pack

  • All items must be completely dry. Please do not include any item that is not completely dry as mildew and mold can form during transit.
  • Pack your items in a sturdy shipping box. If you're shipping only one or two items, you can use the cardboard boxes or plastic pouches provided by various courier services.
  • Make sure to include the Service Order Form and the attached Inventory of Items Sent Form, if any.
  • Tape the box securely.
  • Ensure that the box is accurately addressed.

4. Ship

RAVE FabriCARE assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to any item(s) in transit to us. RAVE FabriCARE assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to any item(s) in transit back to you, beyond the limit of carrier insurance.

5. Confirm Arrival

We'll confirm the receipt of your service order by telephone or email within 48 hours of receipt.

If your Service Order Form does not include an email address (which is important in order to facilitate the tracking of your return shipment to you), we'll call you.

6. Confirm Return

As soon as we process a shipping label for your order, you'll receive a Service Order Shipping Confirmation by email from UPS, identifying:

  • The date shipped
  • The expected date of delivery
  • The tracking number.

If your Service Order Form does not include an email address, we'll call you.

RAVE FabriCARE will only bill your credit card or your RAVEcharge Client Account (see Payment Section below) when your service order is ready to ship.

7. Payment

RAVE FabriCARE accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa.

We regret but we are unable to accept C.O.D. service orders.

If you're using our Nationwide Clean By Mail Service, the total dollar amount of your service order (excluding shipping container charges, carrier shipping charges and insurance charges, if any, will be charged to your credit card either on the day of shipment or within a few days of shipment. The shipping container charges, carrier shipping charges and insurance charges, if any, will be billed, on a separate invoice, either on the day of shipment or within a few days of shipment.

If the amount to be charged on to your credit card is declined for any reason, we'll contact you by email or telephone.

If a RAVEcharge Client Account has been previously set up for you, you may charge the total cleaning and shipping cost to your RAVEcharge Client Account.
