RAVE FabriCARE is also the preferred drycleaning service provider to most of metro Phoenix's upscale department stores, clothing boutiques and custom clothiers.

RAVE FabriCARE has worked closely with collectors, museums and historical societies to restore antique and vintage garments and other textiles in their collections to their original beauty.

 

History

RAVE FabriCARE was founded in 1988.

Disappointed with the "way cleaners did things" in general, and with the quality of cleaning produced by the so-called "better cleaners" in particular, RAVE FabriCARE was founded on a simple, yet profound idea: No compromises. No shortcuts. Just extraordinary care for fine garments and household textiles.

Over the past 20 years, RAVE FabriCARE has built a national reputation for true quality fabricare and is Arizona's leader in quality care for fine garments and household textiles.

 

Services and Conveniences

RAVE FabriCARE offers a comprehensive range of specialized fabricare services designed to meet the needs of the most discriminating of clients.

Services range from the expected (such as drycleaning; wetcleaning; shirt laundry; and repairs and alterations) to the highly specialized (such as knit blocking; designer, high fashion, specialty and couture garments; gown cleaning and preservation; theatrical costumes; vintage garments; and heirloom, antique and museum pieces).

RAVE FabriCARE also offers a range of conveniences designed to support the delivery of these services.

Conveniences include local in-store service, local pickup and delivery service, nationwide clean by mail service, drive through service and client charge accounts.

 

Milestones

  • 1988- RAVE FabriCARE opens its doors in the Scottsdale Airpark
  • 1991- RAVE FabriCARE commences local pickup and delivery service in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Arcadia, Biltmore, Central Phoenix, Carefree and Cave Creek.
  • 1991- RAVE FabriCARE becomes first drycleaner in Arizona licensed to utilize Sanitone® drycleaning and wetcleaning detergents.
  • 1992- RAVE FabriCARE receives the Diamond Drycleaner Award from Laidlaw Corporation as the "Best Drycleaner" in five contiguous southwestern states (excluding California).
  • 1993- RAVE FabriCARE becomes the first (and only) couture drycleaner in Arizona, with special emphasis on the care of designer, high fashion, specialty and couture garments.
  • 1993- RAVE FabriCARE establishes preferred drycleaner relationships with many of metro Phoenix's upscale department stores, clothing boutiques and custom clothiers.
  • 1994- RAVE FabriCARE introduces the trademarked slogan "extraordinary care for fine garments and household textiles."
  • 1994- RAVE FabriCARE introduces a nationwide clean by mail service throughout the USA, Canada and Mexico.
  • 1995- RAVE FabriCARE formalizes its bridal gown services in a new division -- Museum Quality Gowncare.
  • 1995-  RAVE FabriCARE becomes the first (and only) drycleaner in Arizona to publish its detailed drycleaning and shirt laundry quality standards.
  • 1998- RAVE FabriCARE becomes the first (and only) drycleaner in Arizona to utilize acid-free tissue for all garment and household textile packaging.
  • 1998- RAVE FabriCARE formalizes its table and bed linen services in a new division -- The French Laundry Linencare.
  • 2000- RAVE FabriCARE becomes the first drycleaner in Arizona to install specialized, computer-controlled wetcleaning equipment.
  • 2001- RAVE FabriCARE becomes first drycleaner in Arizona licensed to utilize siloxane drycleaning technology.
  • 2001- RAVE FabriCARE becomes first drycleaner in Arizona to be completely exempted from all state, county and city environmental laws and regulations related to air, water and ground quality.
  • 2001- RAVE FabriCARE becomes the first (and only) drycleaner in Arizona to offer cleaning for the chemically-sensitive.
  • 2001- RAVE FabriCARE becomes first (and only) drycleaner in Arizona to utilize a patented bridal gown preservation technology that protects gowns against both acid migration and oxidative pollutant gases over the long-term.
  • 2002- RAVE FabriCARE formalizes its sweater and knit garment services in a new division -- Ship Shape Knitcare.
  • 2003- RAVE FabriCARE becomes the first (and only) drycleaner in Arizona to be fully accredited as one of the nation's premier cleaners by Leading Cleaners Internationale (leadingcleaners.com).
  • 2003- RAVE FabriCARE celebrates 15 year anniversary.
  • 2003- RAVE FabriCARE becomes the first drycleaner in Arizona to utilize contoured and clip hangers favored by many European designers to display and protect their fashions.
  • 2003- RAVE FabriCARE becomes the first (and only) drycleaner in Arizona to utilize fully-breathable, non-yellowing sweater, suit, dress and gown storage bags.
  • 2004- RAVE FabriCARE becomes the first (and only) drycleaner in Arizona designated a Certified Couture Cleaner®.
  • 2006- RAVE FabriCARE relocates to a state-of-the-art fabricare facility in the Scottsdale Airpark.
  • 2007- RAVE FabriCARE collaborates with Phoenix Art Museum to restore garments and other textiles in their collection.
  • 2007- RAVE FabriCARE launches an expanded website -- ravefabricare.com.
  • 2007- RAVE FabriCARE voted "Best Drycleaner In Metro Phoenix" by readers of Phoenix Magazine.
  • 2008- RAVE FabriCARE selected as one of America's best drycleaning facilities by American Drycleaner Magazine.
  • 2008- RAVE FabriCARE expands local pickup and delivery service to Ahwatukee, Chandler, Gilbert, Litchfield Park, Mesa and Tempe.
