Specialty Drycleaners Form Unique Partnership

World's leading drycleaners to co-market unique services

Toronto, Canada (September 17) -- When Mick Jagger was in Toronto to perform with the Rolling Stones for the SARS benefit concert, he needed a specialty drycleaner to ensure that his black jeans remained colorfast. Jagger did not need to look further than Creed's Dry Cleaning for a unique cleaning process that uses an oil-based bath to ensure his black would not fade to gray. And when the famed Four Season's Hotel in Toronto needs drycleaning services for its distinguished guests, it turns exclusively to Creed's.

While Creed's has built an unparalleled reputation in Canada for providing distinctive drycleaning services, they are among a handful of drycleaners throughout North America that specialize in cleaning and restoring designer and haute couture garments and textiles. In an effort to promote their customized services, a select group of drycleaners in North America have joined with Creed's to form Leading Cleaners Internationale.

Other members of this newly formed consortium include Bancrofts Cleaners in Melbourne, Australia; Coronet Fine Drycleaning in Houston; Davis Imperial Cleaners in Chicago; Hallak Cleaners with locations in Manhattan and Hackensack, NJ; Margaret's Cleaners with locations in La Jolla, Del Mar and Newport Beach; Meurice Garment Care with locations in Manhattan, Hewlett and Manhasset, NY; New City Cleaners in Bakersfield, CA; and RAVE FabriCARE in Scottsdale, AZ.

"We are a group of drycleaners who have come together to offer consumers, retailers, designers and manufacturers throughout North America access to fabric care services delivered with a singular passion for excellence," said Wayne Edelman, owner of Meurice Garment Care of New York.

Through a newly-launched website - www.leadingcleaners.com -- consumers can search for information about each of the consortium members and can link to their respective websites. Leading Cleaners Internationale will expand its membership base through an application process that ensures that prospective members meet the rigorous quality standards set by the organization.
