St. John Knits pose particular problems for
cleaners - special buttons, zipper pulls and other hardware;
glued-on pailettes and rhinestones; leather and suede trim; dark
colors with white or cream edges; water-soluble dyes; garments that
can easily become misshaped during wearing, cleaning or storage;
etc.
At a true quality cleaner, every St. John Knit should be:
- Protected against scratching and chipping of buttons, zipper
pulls and other hardware.
- Measured prior to cleaning.
Prespotted prior to cleaning.
- Cleaned in dry cleaning fluid that's extremely gentle on
the garment and on the glued-on pailettes and rhinestones, if
any.
- Cleaned in a dry cleaning fluid that's
chemically inert, meaning that the dry cleaning fluid won't bleed
or fade your dark colors.
- Cleaned in dry cleaning fluid that's completely odorless
and dermatologically friendly, meaning that it's so gentle you can
wash your hands or face in it.
- Cleaned in dry cleaning fluid that's crystal clear, as
clear as bottled mountain spring water.
- Cleaned in dry cleaning fluid that's moisture-free,
sizing-free and fragrance-free.
- Blocked to size after cleaning (with proof of the before and
after cleaning measurements provided to you on pickup or delivery
of the garment).
- Carefully and thoroughly inspected. From top to bottom. From
inside to outside.
Individually and elegantly packaged using only
premium packaging materials, including breathable sweater
bags.
Now that you know the process that should be used to clean your
