Our client is the daughter of a former Ms. America. Her mother
married within a few months of winning her crown in the early
sixties.
While rummaging through her mother's garage she came upon her
wedding dress stuffed into a dirty, cardboard box.
In honor of her mother's 50th anniversary our client decided to
restore and
archivally preserve her mother's 3 piece wedding ensemble
consisting of a dress, long vail and short veil. The dress was made
by Vene and the two veils by Priscilla of Boston.
To say that this dress was in poor condition is an
understatement (one of the worst I've seen in 20 years):
caramalized sugar stains, rust, heavily water stained, and heavily
soiled.
We took about 2 months to complete the restoration. The before
