Cleaning equestrian garments

Top right corner 4599The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show - arguably one of the finest Arabian horse shows in the world, attracting over 200,000 visitors during an 11 day period - concludes at Scottsdale's Westworld this weekend.

As our cleaning facility is a mere 15 minute walk from Westworld, we see numerous equestrian garments. In fact, equestrian garments are a sub-specialty at RAVE FabriCARE. Our clients are drawn from the local horse community as well as from states across the nation, such as Kentucky, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Florida and California.

Most of the equestrian garments we see exhibit heavy soil and dust, perspiration and body oils - both from the rider as well as the horse.

Given that many of these garments are heavily decorated with trim - suede, leather, rhinestones, metal studs, crystals, beads, sequins, etc. - these equestrian garments pose particular problems for a dry cleaner.
