One of the keys to serving theatrical productions is the ability
to pick up their costumes after a performance and return those same
costumes before the next performance.
This task is complicated by the fact that many theatrical
costumes are expensive, hand made, one-of-a-kind garments, often
involving beads, sequins, rhinestones, leather trim, suede trim
vinyl trim, feathers, appliques of different types, and various
combinations thereof. Many of these theatrical costumes meet the
technical definition of "couture".
Case in point are our services to
Wicked, the musical, that just ended a four week run at
the ASU Gammage in Tempe, Arizona.
In this case, we picked up about 80 theatrical costumes at
around 10:00 p.m. on a Sunday night and returned them in perfect
condition - intense coloration, stain free and perspiration free -
at around 3:00 p.m. on a Tuesday
afternoon.
During that time interval, we catalogued all the costumes,
cleaned and hand pressed each one, and completed all minor repairs
including tightening loose hooks, eyes, beads, sequins and
rhinestones, and resewing open seams and dangling hems.
What can I do for you?
