At RAVE FabriCARE, we see many Louis Vuitton coated canvas
handbags with natural cowhide leather trim on a monthly basis (for
example, see
here,
here and
here).
These coated canvas handbags include brown monogrammed coated
canvas handbags, white and black multicolore monogrammed coated
canvas handbags, and blue and cream Damier Azur monogrammed coated
canvas handbags.
Over the years, we've developed a successful track record
cleaning the exterior, interior and natural cowhide leather trim of
brown monogrammed as well as white and black multicolore
monogrammed coated canvas handbags. When it comes to cleaning blue
and cream Damier Azur monogrammed handbags, however, success can be
fleeting.
The problem is that the exterior coated canvas of blue and cream
Damier Azur handbags stains quite easily, particularly if
vigorously rubbed against a dark garment such as indigo dyed blue
jeans or a black or navy dress whose dyes are not of the highest
quality.
A good example of a Louis Vuitton blue and cream Damier Azur
handbag that defied all attempts at exterior cleaning was this
Damier Azur Speedy that arrived with a large yellow stain on the
underside.
The problem with this Damier Azur Speedy was that the yellow
stain could not be safely removed without simultaneously
removing some or all of the blue pattern.
On the other hand, if the exterior coated canvas of your Damier
Azur handbag is in relatively good condition (meaning that the
exterior canvas is only lightly soiled), the likelihood that your
Damier Azur handbag can be safely and expertly cleaned is
relatively high. More often than not, we find that the exterior
canvas is in relatively good condition but that the natural cowhide
leather trim and the interior is heavily soiled and/or stained.
A perfect example of this latter situation was this relatively
new Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Berkeley that arrived
in the mail with cosmetic stains on the interior, heavily
ingrained soil on the natural cowhide leather trim and oil deposits
from the hands on the handles.
In this case, we were able to gently clean the exterior coated
canvas (while retaining the intensity and clarity of the blue
coloration), remove various cosmetic stains from the interior,
restore the natural cowhide leather trim to as close to "like new"
condition as was technically feasible, and extract most of the oil
from the handles.
My overall assessment of the results achieved? Not perfection,
but pretty good. Especially when you take into consideration how
deeply the soil had penetrated the natural cowhide leather trim.
(By the way, when it comes to hand cleaning and restoring handbags,
perfection is almost never attainable. The very best
technologically achievable results? Yes. Perfection? Almost
never).

If you're looking for a handbag cleaning specialist, please
remember this: All handbags, purses, wallets and backpacks should
be cleaned BY HAND. Never BY MACHINE. And, then, only by a cleaner
who specializes in these accessories. And, the only way to ensure
that the cleaner does, in fact, specialize in these accessories is
to make sure that the cleaner has a FULL TIME handbag and purse
cleaner ON PREMISES.
RAVE FabriCARE is the only cleaner in Arizona, and one of the
very few in the USA, that employs a full time handbag cleaner whose
sole job is to hand clean handbags, purses, wallets and backpacks.
Unlike other cleaners, we'd never clean by machine and we'd never
send your accessories to outside third parties for cleaning. That
way we're able to deliver the very best technologically achievable
results and return your items, in most cases, in a week and a half
to two weeks.

backpacks that we've recently cleaned, please click on TRUE QUALITY
